JUNE 11, 2007—8:00 P.M.

            The Town of Cross Plains Board of Supervisors met for their regular monthly meeting.  Meeting notices had been published in the June 7th issues of the Shopper, News Sickle Arrow, Mt. Horeb Mail and on the website.  All Board members and approx- imately 18 citizens were present.  The minutes of the May 14 meeting were read and after minor additions were moved for approval by Bob, seconded by Vera and approved.

            Bill Coyle asked for a picnic permit for St. Mary’s festival on August 12.  There will be no music after 11:00 p.m., Bob moved approval Vera seconded and it passed.      Petition #9705 by Bob Brunner to rezone two 5-acres lots in Section 28 from RH-3 to A-2(4).  The Plan Commission had approved it and Bob moved to approve, Harold seconded and it was approved.

            Petition #9711 by Jim Garfoot to rezone 7.5 acres in Section 17 from A-1Ex to RH-2 was heard.  The Plan Commission had approved the proposal to survey off the 7.5 acres.  Bob approved the proposal for the 7.5 acre surveyed off, seconded by Harold and the petition passed.

            Petition #9719 by Bahr Hilltop was moved to table by Vera, seconded by Harold and will be placed on the July agenda.           

PLAN COMMISSION UPDATE—Arnold Harris indicated that they have the maps from Dane County and will be asking for more.  He also reported that there will probably be two surveys with the second one near the end of the process.  There will two separate but identical meetings at the hall probably next summer.  The Commission will be setting up an account to Access Dane for the County database.  They already have printing and mailing cost information. 

            Bob Bowman provided the Commission with a public participation plan he had prepared.  He further stated that the Board should not vote on the Commission’s Public Participation Plan because the agenda did not indicate a vote would be taken.  Vera moved to table for one month the Public Participation Plan vote, Harold seconded and the motion passed.  Bob moved to approve the Commission’s budget for the first year in a sum not to exceed $7,475, Vera seconded and the motion passed.  On the secretary issue Jim Schmit’s letter left it open for the Commission to do whatever they want to do.

            Northwest Dane—Vera reported that they have terminated the employment of the executive director and a new policies and procedures manual is being prepared. 

            Road Update—Harold reported that Union Valley is fixed and the culverts are ordered for Timberlane.

            Fire District Update—Cross Plains meeting went well. 

            The tax refunds to the citizens will be mailed this month.  The Plan Commission will meet on July 9th and the regular Board meeting will be July 16th.  Move to adjourn by Vera at 9:00 p.m., seconded by Bob and adjourned.
